Hello,

We are Amanda & Jason — the explorers behind Get Outside and Play USA.

Our adventures started at the beginning of the pandemic. We crossed paths for the second time in our lives at a time when the world was on lockdown and all we really wanted was to get outside and play.... and that's what we did, we have been glued together ever since.

We both have a love for the outdoors that runs deep. We have chased some of the most beautiful waterfalls, rock hounded for rare gems and minerals, and panned for gold on the highest mountain tops. It doesn't matter if we are crabbing on the coast, wandering endless trails on a long hike, or digging in the dirt to hunt for treasures; we feel most at home when we are outside, exploring the beauty this world has to offer.

Travel, for us, isn't just about the destination — We have no urge to travel the world when we are in one of the most beautiful countries that still needs exploration. There is nothing like driving on a scenic road that winds into the unknown. Every trip is an opportunity to slow down, breathe deeply, connect with the land, and leave behind all the daily stress.

Through Go Outside and Play USA, we share stories, tips, and inspiration from our journeys — from road trips across the Pacific Northwest to afternoons spent rock hounding, gold panning, and chasing waterfalls.
